One of the main lines of the Foundation activities is compiling a collection of contest designs, working drawings, architectural graphics and personal archives of the leading 20th century Russian architects. By now the Foundation already has the works by Ivan Leonidov, Alexei Shchusev, Ivan Zholtovsky, Ivan Fomin, Alexander Vesnin, and Moisei Ginzburg.

The main difficulty in collating the Foundation Private Collection is that unique artifacts, sometimes falling into the hands of persons unaware of the true value of such historic documents, are kept in the far from ideal conditions. This brings them to the brink of a complete disappearance. Acquiring those items Russian Avantgarde Foundation ensures storing them in conformity with all museum norms and standards. But saving the masterpieces is not the only task for the Foundation. One of the main objectives is to make the legacy of great master architects accessible to all. The foundation is implementing a number of exhibition and Web projects for presenting items form the Russian Avantgarde collection.
